“The Alder Woodwasp and its Insect Enemies”
Filmed in 1960, The Alder Woodwasp and its Insect Enemies has now been digitally enhanced by World Educational Films. A new soundtrack and commentary have been added and we wish to express our thanks and appreciation for the assistance given to us with the commentary to Dr Donald Quicke, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Biology, Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, Silwood Park (UK). Donald’s advice has been invaluable in enabling the film commentary to be updated. He has proved to be an invaluable source of ideas and we thank him for his great enthusiasm. Visit Dr Quicke’s Home Page.
We are also grateful to Molly Hunter, an assistant professor at the Department of Entomology,
The University of Arizona. Molly helped to inspire World Educational Films when she requested a copy of the original film video – and was so enthusiastic. She has been a catalyst in helping us to gain access to experts such as Donald Quicke, and for this we extend our gratitude. Without her inspiration we may never have had the Alder Woodwasp digitally enhanced and marketable for the 21st century.
